My Weird School
For the first film adaptation of Dan Gutman’s beloved book series, we set out to introduce My Weird School as a funny, high-stakes alien adventure for kids & parents. The campaign brought the movie’s unlikely team of students & faculty together around a premise: saving the world starts at school.

We built the key art around a familiar school hallway & developed a moment that starts to feel anything but ordinary. The blue glow echoes how the aliens emerge in the film, while a fisheye perspective makes the space feel just a little…off. With A.J. front & center, the cast’s reactions bring the comedy & surprise.
Alongside the hero key art, we developed individual character portraits to introduce the kids at the heart of the movie. Each character gives a glimpse of a distinct personality, while the shared blue glow ties the portraits to the larger alien adventure & gives the campaign a flexible set of assets to build around.
